Conversations that leave no trace.
Black Book is the messenger where you're an ID, not a phone number. What you write and share is seen only by the person you're talking to. We can't see it, and neither can anyone else.
Coming to the App Store and Google Play.
Share an ID, not your number.
When you start, you get an ID and choose the name others see. Share your ID or QR code with the people you want to talk to. Your number, your email and your contacts stay with you.
Want to be completely sure who you're talking to? Compare safety numbers or scan each other's QR codes. If something changes with a contact's keys, Black Book tells you before you send.
No one can read along. Not even us.
Your messages are locked before they leave your phone, and the keys exist only with you and the person you're writing to. The server delivers the message and forgets it.
What we see
- Which ID the message is for
- That a message is waiting to be picked up
- Approximate distance when you use Nearby
What we never see
- What you write
- Who sent the message
- The photos you share
- Your phone number, contacts and password
One tap, and it's all gone.
Kill Switch deletes the key that locks everything Black Book has stored. Your conversations become unreadable instantly, and no one can bring them back. You can also let your account delete itself when you haven't used it for a while.

Share posts and stories with people nearby, from your neighbourhood to the whole country. You decide how far you see and how far what you share reaches. Others only see roughly how far away you are, never where you are.
